(Dec. 8, 2008) AFP members are always accepting new challenges and exciting career opportunities, as well as receiving accolades for their commitment and service. Here are some job announcements, appointments, promotions and recognitions for November-December 2008.
Rachel Hughes, development officer for the Wayne County Foundation in Richmond, Ind., recently completed her Certificate in Fund Raising Management through The Fund Raising School at the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University.
Christine Leible is now director of development at Academy of Our Lady of Mercy, Lauralton Hall, in Milford, Conn. She was formerly director of development at Marymount College, Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.
Share Maack, of Boise, Idaho, has moved from being a private fundraising consultant to a position at the College of Idaho in Caldwell, Idaho, as the director of foundation and corporate relations.
Joseph M. Scialabba, CFRE, has been named vice president for institutional advancement at Mount Aloysius College in Cresson, Pa. He was formerly executive director of the Independent Catholic Foundation for the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown in Hollidaysburg, Pa.
Barbara L. Tesner has been named assistant vice president of development at The George Washington University’s Columbia College of Arts and Sciences in Washington, D.C. She formerly served as the college’s executive director of development.
