Curtis Deane to Step Down as President of the AFP Foundation for Philanthropy

Arlington, VA - After nearly seven years as president, Curtis Deane will be leaving the AFP Foundation for Philanthropy.

Since joining AFP in 2005, Curtis has developed an extensive annual giving program and the successful Omega Circle planned giving initiative. He also has worked closely with the both the AFP association and foundation boards to align the operations of both organizations and identify common fundraising goals in support of AFP’s Business Plan.

Curtis, who will assist AFP in a smooth transition over the next three months, will focus his time and energies in the future on his role as Principal at WoodleyLion Consulting.

Martha Kirkland, currently manager of major and planned gifts, will lead the foundation as executive vice president. Martha has extensive leadership and fundraising experience, most recently as executive director of the American Occupational Therapy Foundation.
