Casa de los Niños is one of the most established and well respected non-profit organizations in Tucson. We have been helping kids and healing families since 1973. Our services include parent education classes, foster care, Parents As Teachers, Behavioral Health, and Nurse Family Partnership programs to name a few!

Position Summary

Casa de los Niños is seeking a Community Relations Coordinator who will be responsible for developing and coordinating community and business development activities to contribute to the overall success of the organization’s outreach and fundraising goals. This position will require the selected individual to act as a brand ambassador for Casa de los Niños to increase awareness, and create and maintain a favorable public image.

Your Mission

Create and manage our public relations program.

Motivate and inspire confidence in co-workers and community contacts.

Maintain and update the organization’s social media and website.

Work closely with the Director of CR & D and CEO to schedule and staff public speaking engagements, press and media interviews, and public fairs/promotions that help position the agency throughout the community, state, and nation.

Coordinating with the Volunteer Department, board of directors and community committees for work at special events and other promotional activities.

Compilation and management of materials needed for external publications – newsletter, annual report, brochures, and flyers.

Coordinate, manage and solicit outside events done for the organization by outside groups; working towards the goal of moving them to volunteers and then individual donors for the organization.

Must have the ability to communicate effectively in English.

Bachelor Degree in a social, business, or related field with 1-3 years professional experience or AA degree in social, business, or related field with 3-5 years professional experience.

Experience with E-communications.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent team work skills.

The ability to work independently with little supervision.

Must be computer literate with knowledge of Outlook and Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

Knowledge of Social Media and Web Design.

Experience with fundraising software and list management preferred.

Creative thinker with ability to work independently.
